Love Christmas 2025
The challenges of the cost of living crisis over the last couple of years have made it a particularly tough season for some groups in our society. With other local churches, we want to spread some light and love to by gifting Christmas bags filled with goodies to those in need in our town this December.
We want to specifically bless the following groups of people: The elderly, who can feel particularly isolated at this time; families that we’ve connected with through F4YP, local schools and our emergency food parcels; vulnerable women via Azalea; and the homeless and refugee clients served through HopeWorks (formerly known as King’s Arms Project).
Will you help us?
You can take part by filling a bag for one of the groups of people mentioned above. You can be as creative as you like in filling them! (See below for some ideas of what you could put in them.) You’re also welcome to include your own card, should you want to write a personal message.
Please collect empty Christmas bags on Sundays, 23rd November and 30th November during our morning Sunday meetings at King's Arms Church.
Where to drop your filled boxes
Please return filled bags to King's House by Sunday, 14th December.
There will be a drop-off point at each of our Sunday meetings at King's Arms Church on Sundays, 30th November and 7th and 14th December. Please ask one of the welcome team for information.
You can also drop your bags off at Ground Floor Coffee shop during the week (9am to 3pm) up until Friday, 12th December. The drop-off point will be next to the bookcase - please ask a staff member for information.
